CorbinDances, founded by former Paul Talyor star Patrick Corbin, embraces modern, contemporary and ballet disciplines. The pieces range from lyrical and visceral to intellectual, encompassing such human issues as loss, joy, detachment, and isolation. The artistic vision for the company is of a movement think tank and the collaborative aspect goes beyond dancers to include writers, directors, lighting designers, visual artists, and musicians. Corbin reaches out to a new audience by using music that relates to different generations, calling it "Moby meets the Met". CorbinDances is available for master classes in modern dance technique and improvisation as well as other community outreach activities.
"At a time when modern dance awaits the appearance of another great choreographer, Mr. Corbin's pedigree stands out...Corbin's movement bears his own unique stamp...[He] is a choreographer simultaneously attracted to clouds and their silver linings."

"Patrick Corbin is a fabulous dancer. He moves with quicksilver wit, technical brilliance and crystalline clarity. There is a welcome physical power that comes from his own eclectic impulses...moving...exhilarating."
Anna Kisselgoff, The New York Times
"In a smart gracefully constructed evening of four mysterious dances Patrick Corbin made a glorious debut as a serious choreographer...remarkably original."
