	Pentacle has provided administrative and managerial services to dance companies and performing artists for over 25 years. Artists and companies receive individualized attention and can use Pentacle's services and expertise to support their own professional infrastructures, thus allowing them more creative time. Pentacle's general services to the field are supported by New York State Council on the Arts, Capezio/Ballet Makers Dance Foundation Inc., The Harkness Foundation for Dance, JP Morgan Chase and Altria. Booking Our most widely used and currently needed service, Pentacle offers exposure for the artists in both the national and international marketplaces. Through Pentacle's participation in regional and national booking conventions, the publication and mailing of a promotional piece to 5,000 presenters, inclusion in Stern's Performing Arts Directory, the Pentacle website and active solicitation of engagements, Pentacle tries to procure work for its artists. For information call Sophie Myrtil-McCourty at (212) 278-8111 x313 or e-mail her at sophiem(at)pentacle.org Gallery Pentacle serves the Gallery artists through exposure in the national marketplace at regional and national booking conferences, including the annual Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) conference in NY, and any international festivals that Pentacle attends. Pentacle also produces a Gallery showcase at APAP every year. Gallery artists gain additional exposure through Pentacle by inclusion in Stern's Performing Arts Directory, a promotional mailing to 5,000 presenters, distribution of a Gallery dvd sampler, and a listing on the Pentacle website. Although the Gallery advocates for each individual artist, the Gallery does not actively solicit engagements on their behalf. Fiscal Administration Pentacle's fiscal administrator provides comprehensive fiscal administration to companies incorporated as a not-for-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. These services include: daily banking; payment of company bills; monthly bank reconciliation; computerized financial statements; payroll administration and handling of the company's reporting requirements to federal, state and city agencies. Additionally, budget assistance and financial planning are available. Fiscal services also are available to unincorporated artists on either a yearly or project basis through Pentacle's Foundation for Independent Artists, Inc. (FIA) and Unique Projects, Inc. (UP, Inc.) This service works well for those companies who prefer to maintain their bookkeeping functions in-house. Pentacle posts the company's disbursements and receipts to the general ledger on a frequency based on the company's needs. Handling of all payments to salaried individuals, paying of applicable taxes and filing of payroll based federal, state and local reports also are included in this service. Companies receiving Pentacle's accounting services have access to an independent CPA who specializes in not-for-profit accounting, and will handle the necessary reports that need to be filed annually with the appropriate federal, state and city agencies. Grant Writing Pentacle's grant writing service includes the preparation, submission and administration of applications to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and the New York Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA). Graphics Pentacle's designers, Sondra Graff and Venantius Pinto, are available to create promotional materials to meet an artist's or company's distinctive needs. Such materials may include posters, flyers, invitations, brochures, press kits, stationery, and website design.
