Pentacle’s Cultivating Leadership in Dance provides an unparalleled opportunity for interns to receive the benefits of a structured internship program, while working intimately with dance artists/choreographers and non-profit organizations. Pentacle matches each intern with a company, and works with them to create a program experience that is both rewarding and useful.

Intern Benefits:

  1. Weekly training seminars in arts administration & career exploration, with presentations by professionals in the field
  2. A clear Work Plan outlining your responsibilities during the internship, developed by the company, CLD staff, and you
  3. Expanding your professional network. You will develop a close relationship with the other interns in your session, who are working with a wide range of dance companies and non-profit organizations. You’ll also have the chance to connect further with the professionals who speak at the weekly seminars
  4. Dedicated personnel at Pentacle to help support the intern/company partnership and provide extra mentoring to the intern
  5. Inclusion in the CLD Alumni Network, which provides professional opportunities even after the internship has ended
  6. Gaining the knowledge and experience of budgeting, marketing, and producing a fundraising event
  7. College credit is available
