The above services reflect Pentacle's commitment to support artists' fiscal needs. From individual choreographers to fully incorporated not-for-profit dance companies, we can offer assistance to artists of every level. Pentacle's fiscal services provide the artist/company with the business structure necessary to create their work and reach their goals.
Through our comprehensive fiscal administration services, we administer all the daily bookkeeping and accounting activities of mid to large dance and theatre companies who are incorporated with their own 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status. The Foundation for Independent Artists (FIA) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation created and administered by Pentacle to provide a corporate structure to unincorporated/independent artists. The services of FIA are very similar to those of the comprehensive fiscal administration program above, and allow independent artists to operate in compliance with employment laws and grant agencies. For individual dance artists seeking tax-deductible contributions, Unique Projects offers fiscal sponsorship on a project by project basis. Accounting/bookkeeping services are also available on an annual basis, and grant preparation is available for current fiscal artist-members for proposals to federal, state, and city government grant agencies.
