Reflections from Last Year's TRL Cohort
"TRL provided a communal platform for performing artists pursuing touring of their work to collect and innovate strategies for cultivating aligned partners for touring engagements. I am so grateful to have been in co-hort with artists who's work I admire and to be able to have the comradery through APAP that can be a very isolating experience for an artist advocating for themselves. The feedback in designing EPKs and putting together our pitches was invaluable as well as the ability to bounce those things off of industry leaders."
—slowdanger (Pittsburgh)
"If you can become apart of the TRL community...RUN don't walk! TRL is a great platform to support your introduction to APAP and beyond."
—SOLE Defined (Washington, DC)
"Participating in Pentacle's Tour Ready Lab was a total game changer. APAP is a wild beast and incredibly difficult and intimidating to navigate on your own. But with TRL I felt thoroughly cared for and uplifted by the incredibly knowledgeable and organized staff at Pentacle and was joined by a cohort of exceptional artistic peers. We were coming at this from very different places in our practice, careers, and even geographically, yet that diversity proved to be immensely helpful and enlightening."
—Amanda Szeglowski / cakeface (Manhattan)
"Thanks to TRL, my first showcasing experience at APAP was great. I have also gained the knowledge and tools for successful conferencing in the future, as well as some new friends from the TRL cohort."
