New Program Helps Small Arts Organizations Recover and Thrive

For artists who don’t typically have access to other forms of credit or grant funding, Pentacle’s new Cash Advance Program enables artists to take the next steps in implementing their capacity and infrastructure plans.

Five NYC performing artists have been selected by a panel to be part of the pilot Cash Advance program. Michiyaya Dance, Gi Major, VashtiDance Theater, x, and Alison Cook Betty Dance. Help us congratulate them by commenting or sharing the announcement post!

CAP Recipients of 2022
Pentacle’s Cash Advance Program is an interest-free cash advance loan paired with sound financial planning through mentorship and fiscal personnel support to help performing artists overcome obstacles to their growth. Pentacle’s Administrative Support Program receives funding from the New York State Council on the Arts.

Along with ongoing organizational support from NYSCA, Pentacle is thrilled to share that its Administrative Support Program (ASP) and nextSteps each received a Regrowth and Capacity grant of $10,000. “Arts and culture are crucial to the health of our citizens and the economic vitality of our communities, and we recognize the contributions of NYSCA grantees to the lives of all New Yorkers” – Katherine Nicholls, Chair, NYSCA.

Club Legend, Archie Burnett, in Conversation with Ephrat Asherie at the Guggenheim!

Internship Program Spring 2023Apply to our structured intern-matching program!

Artists and arts entities are selected to receive a qualified intern with similar goals and interests. The deadline to apply is November 13th, 2022. Past participating companies have included Dance/NYC, MODArts Dance Collective, American Renaissance Theater Company, The Tank, and Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre. Get more details on our website. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

 FULL-TIME:  Fiscal Associate, Apply before Nov. 27th at 12:00am. Pentacle is looking for a NYC-based individual looking to build a career in arts administration and who is passionate about serving early to mid-career artists.
INTERNSHIP:  Arts Administration Internship Program, Apply before Nov. 13th. For individuals over the age of 18 who are in expanding their knowledge of the nonprofit arts field, Pentacle pairs them with an artistic entity to work 10 hours/ week for 8 weeks. Compensation and professional development is provided.
